Who Are We
Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) has partnered with Adult Day Services, Goodwill, Columbia Abilities Alliance and The Arc of Tri-Cities to provide transportation services through Dial-A-Ride (DAR).
Our Services
The Arc of Tri-Cities requires its clients in the Adult Day Program, VIP Program, and Partners N Pals Summer Camp to be approved for Dial-A-Ride Services. This allows us to provide transportation to and from activities through Ben Franklin Transit.
A Piece of History
This service began in 1962, when some ambitious and determined mothers of adult children with disabilities made a plan. They gathered enough Betty Crocker coupons to acquire “Old Blue,” a van that could deliver 15 adults home after Tuesday and Thursday night recreation.
Realizing there was a real need for consistent transportation services, The Arc of Tri-Cities and Ben Franklin Transit formed a partnership in 1991. Over time, this partnership evolved into the variety of services we offer today.
