Day Programs Manager (click for job description)

Summary: The Program Manger oversees all aspects of assigned programs in accordance with The Arc of Tri-Cities' mission and purpose. This individual is responsible for the initiation and implementation of new and traditional programs, the training and supervision of necessary staff, and the evaluation and modification of these initiatives. This person will further ensure that all The Arc standards are met and/or exceeded in direct correlation with contracts and the strategic plan. This position works independently under general direction from The Arc of Tri-Cities Co-Executive Director and is expected to determine how to accomplish tasks.

Summer Day Camp Counselor and Driver

We have a summer day camp for kids with developmental disabilities ages 6-21. This job is for Driver/Counselor, you will have both roles. We are in need of staff who love kids and who can help transport them from their homes to the camp. Must be creative, positive, energetic, fun, able to swim frequently, ability to be a good role model, and able to spend several hours in the sun daily.

We swim every day plus crafts and games. Applicants will be working between 7-8 hours daily about 35 to 40 hours a week. Camp starts June 18th and ends August 16th. We are closed July 3rd and 4th. We have staggered starting dates for driver training. We will communicate those start dates upon hire. Applicants will be driving our Wheelchair Lift Vans (BFT Dial-A-Ride). You will be trained for 40 hours and pass a test before camp starts. During Camp you drive to pick up our campers, then go to various locations in the community throughout the day before dropping them off at home. Drivers/Counselors will be assigned a specific camper and be with them throughout the week.
