What is it?

The Arc of Tri-Cities provides a local summer day camp for all kids, with a primary focus on kids with a disability. This is an opportunity for children with, and without disabilities to interact and share their love of summer fun.

Partners N Pals also provides door-to-door transportation to, and from, the camp for campers who qualify for Ben Franklin Transits para-transit services. (Please see Dial-A-Ride application below.)

Campers who do not qualify for door-to-door transportation can be dropped off, and picked up, at the camp site.

Why do we do this?

Partners N Pals summer camp is an opportunity to make friends and develop social skills as children participate in swimming, games and various activities outside their homes.

Complete Dial-A-Ride Application

The Arc and Ben Franklin Transit have a longstanding partnership and we are grateful for all of their help over the years. Increased federal requirements have affected our ability to transport campers this year. The ability to provide door-to-door service and utilize vans during camp hours will depend on Dial-A-Ride eligibility. This means EVERY camper must be Dial-A-Ride eligible in order to receive the door-to-door service. Campers who do not qualify for door-to-door transportation can be dropped off, and picked up, at the camp site. These campers will still be able to be transported through out the camp day.

Dial-A-Ride has a minimum 21-day review period, but could take up to three months. The entire application process will take extra time and effort this year, therefore we are asking all families to complete the PNP application as well as the Dial-A-Ride application and have both submitted to The Arc of Tri-Cities NO LATER THAN May 29th.

Please understand obtaining Dial-A-Ride eligibility can be difficult for families who have never applied. Workshops will be put on to assist families in this process on May 6th and June 5th @ 5:30

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to hearing from you.
