Part-Time Direct Service Specialist - mutliple positions available

Looking for an enthusiastic individual who loves working with people for an open position in our Adult Day Programs department. This position is part-time and involves providing direct service (including recreation and personal care) for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in one-on-one and group community settings in our Day Program and VIP program.

 Community Access Specialist - positions available

This position requires an enthusiastic full-time employee to develop day programming options and community activities for people with developmental disabilities.  Will require managing a case-load to ensure all clients are enjoying integrated community activities. Manage your own schedule. Fun and fulfilling work in activity planning and community integration.

Part-Time Paratransit Bus Driver

Job Description

The Paratransit Bus Driver is a caring, compassionate individual, who is responsible for transporting clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities to specific locations within the Tri-Cities, in support of programming, employment and recreational opportunities offered by The Arc of Tri-Cities, Adult Day Services, Columbia Industries and Goodwill Industries.

This is a permanent part-time position ranging from 10 to 30 hours per week. Operating hours are typically 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.


Mandatory Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency

  • Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted Washington State driver’s license

  • Five (5) years driving experience

  • Meet Ben Franklin Transit driver eligibility criteria

  • Ability to complete Ben Franklin Transit training curriculum

  • Satisfactorily pass a DSHS background check

  • Possess or ability to obtain valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

  • Provide an acceptable Complete Drivers Abstract from the WA Dept. of Licensing

  • Ability to pass and maintain DOT-required drug & alcohol testing and physical requirements

  • Ability to bend, kneel, stretch and turn as appropriate to properly secure passenger wheelchairs


Starting hourly wage is the applicable Washington State Minimum Wage (currently $11.00), subject to wage reviews after completion of a 90-day probationary period and upon annual performance/salary reviews thereafter.
