The Arc of Tri-Cities has been changing the way people think when they think of the word “athlete.” For the past few years, with the help of dozens of volunteer runners and donations from the community, young adults with developmental disabilities have been able to compete in the TRIOS Tri-City Marathon each October.

Last year, Chucky Maugh and TJ Ellis Jr. competed and completed all 26.2 miles of the Tri-Cities Marathon with the help of their “wheelchair propulsion” team.  This year Chucky will have some new competition from Austin Davis.

On Sunday, October 30th both young men and their volunteer teams will run the course for the fourth time!

The Arc of Tri-Cities is committed to promoting public awareness and inclusion for all individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the community and helping everyone cross the finish line of every race.
